LINCOLN, Neb. — Monday, June 18, BryanLGH Medical Center is opening a chest pain center at its East location at 1600 S. 48th St.
As a leader in heart services for more than 30 years, the heart team at BryanLGH East is always ready to care for patients who may have heart problems. Opening the Chest Pain Center creates a centralized unit and improves the continuity of care for chest pain patients.
Dedicated nurses with experience and training in caring for heart patients will provide care in the Center seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The Chest Pain Center is close to heart diagnostic and treatment areas and personnel if these are needed. With doctor’s orders, patients will receive a treadmill test or a MyoView scan to help diagnose their condition. Short lengths of stay are anticipated with an emphasis on rapidly completing all necessary tests.
“We are pleased to be able to offer this centralized unit that is close to other heart related areas,” says Karen Dike, MSN, nursing director, critical care services. “This unit helps us provide rapid, standardized care with the least stress for patients.”
