Assistance With Insurance Filing
Insurance forms for medical bills can be confusing and filing them can be time consuming. Staff in our patient financial services area will file your medical center bill. If you need help filing other health insurance forms, just call the 55PLUS office at 402-481-3355 to schedule an appointment.
55PLUS Representative to Help You at the Medical Center
When you are a patient at BryanLGH Medical Center you may have questions about the medical center and what you should expect during your stay. You can rest easier knowing our 55PLUS representative is there if you need help. Just call the 55PLUS office at 402-481-3355 to have a representative visit you.
Guest Meals
We want to make it convenient for your spouse or a friend to spend time with you during your medical center stay. We provide two complimentary guest meal tickets valued at $5 each for a visiting family member or a friend to use during your stay. Following your inpatient admission, our 55PLUS representative will give these meal tickets to you and explain how to use them.
Cholesterol Screening
You may have a blood lipid screening that includes cholesterol, HDL, LDL and triglycerides. This screening is done at Bryan Medical Plaza, BryanLGH West or Pine Lake Medical Plaza. We will mail a copy of the test report to you and your physician. For more information, call 402-481-3355.
Other Health Screenings
The following screenings are offered monthly by appointment only. No diagnosis will be made; however, you will receive your test results in the mail. These tests are not ordered by a physician; therefore, they are not covered by Medicare. For more information regarding costs, scheduled dates, times and locations of screenings, call 402-481-8886.
Comprehensive Blood Chemistry Screening: This screening includes a number of tests including a comprehensive metabolic panel, TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), a lipid panel (cholesterol) and hemogram.
Cardio C-Reactive Protein (CRP): This is a highly sensitive blood test that can help evaluate your risk of heart disease. 12 hours of fasting required.
Glycohemoglobin (HbA1c): This test indicates your average blood sugar levels in the previous two to three months.
Prostate Cancer Screening (PSA): A blood test that is one indicator of prostate cancer.
Blood Pressure Testing
A periodic blood pressure check is a good health practice to follow. A blood pressure monitor is located in the pharmacy at the Bryan Medical Plaza and one is located just outside the cafeteria at BryanLGH West. You may stop at either location and check your pressure. 55PLUS blood pressure record cards are located on the machines so that you can keep track of your readings. For more information, call 402-481-3355.
