Trauma on the Road

Case reviews of patients from your area treated at the BryanLGH Trauma Center.
Reginald Burton, MD, trauma director, and others from the trauma team present this interactive program in your community by special arrangement. This program provides a specific focus on the EMT/paramedic role in patient evaluation, triage, packaging and transport and the impact this has when a patient arrives at the Trauma Center. It also includes a review of patient outcomes based on pre-hospital efforts. Trauma Team Programs

Develop or enhance your hospital's "trauma team" approach.
As requested by hospital representatives, Reginald Burton MD, trauma director, and others from the BryanLGH trauma program will develop "trauma team" education for ED personnel, nurses, physicians, EMTs/paramedics and other hospital staff members. Education topics include Advanced Trauma Life Support resuscitation principles, EMS notification, hospital activation and team member roles. Mock traumas are staged to help evaluate a hospital system's response to trauma patients' needs.
