The Joint Academy's goal is simple: to return you to normal function as quickly and safely as possible. To reach this goal, we use a leading-edge approach to assess, prevent, treat and rehabilitate individuals with degenerative joint disease.

The Joint Academy is a comprehensive and innovative program that begins before your surgery and continues after it. Our talented team works with you and your primary care physician to develop a treatment plan specifically for you. We combine clinical expertise with a patient-centered philosophy. Our program is known and recognized for its high quality of care.

Following total joint replacement surgery, you will enjoy many years of functional activity. By participating from the very beginning in our Joint Academy, following the prescribed exercises, precautions and continued activity after your surgery, you can return to your active lifestyle!

BryanLGH Medical Center has a variety of services and medical equipment available. Our care management team will review your options with you. Whether you live in Lincoln or outside the Lincoln area, our care managers will help you make the proper arrangements to continue your care.

Community Education

The Human Motion Institute provides a series of community programs. Musculoskeletal topics are presented by medical experts in the field including doctors, nurses and therapists. One of the programs, "What Can I Do For the Pain?" occurs quarterly. This program teaches about osteoarthritis and simple exercises and techniques to make living with osteoarthritis easier.
