If your baby is born with special challenges, you can take comfort knowing that our Childbirth Center is the first in Lincoln to offer a state-of-the-art isolette that mimics life in the womb. The isolette features a radiant warmer, built-in scale, oxygen therapy and “lazy susan” that allow staff to care for your infant with minimal handling and without moving the baby. The isolette’s temperature control system maintains the perfect temperature, depending on your baby’s gestational age.
Fetal Surveillance
Our new computer documentation system, the OBiX Perinatal Data System, makes documentation easier, so your nurse can remain at your bedside, caring for you and monitoring your baby in labor and delivery. Should the nurse step out of the room, a central surveillance system at the nurse’s station will watch over you. Information from your delivery carries forward and allows your nurse to continue documentation and care for you and your baby on the postpartum unit.
