Brachytherapy
Brachytherapy uses a small amount of radiation to open a blockage inside a stent. It takes only a few minutes, and it decreases chances the blockage will occur again. A radiation doctor, physicist and the cath lab staff work together to deliver low-dose radiation using a special catheter. BryanLGH was a local pioneer in this technique, being the first to provide it in Nebraska in 2000.
