BryanLGH Now Offers Continuous Video EEG
The Gogela Neuroscience Institute at BryanLGH Medical Center, with the guidance of neurologist Matthew Kniss, MD, has initiated a new program called Continuous Video EEG. By using continuous brain wave monitoring and video recording to study brain waves and patient movements between and during seizures, the specialists are able to more accurately identify the type and severity of the seizure and determine how to best treat it.
This inpatient procedure, usually offered at large teaching institutions, is now offered at BryanLGH West. Patients are typically in the hospital for three to five days.
